Celebrating 125 years Guthrie Bowron got in behind the return of professional golf at the Hastings golf club.

Brett Allan Head professional and the Hastings club delivered a fantastic day and a highly successful Pro Am on the regions anniversary day. The green keepers had the course top notch and as the sun rose over the Hawkes Bay final touches were being made.

Classic summer in the Bay delivered and after a cheque for $10,000 was presented to the Lowe Corporate Rescue Helicopter Trust and some inspiring words from Commonwealth Games athlete Anita McLaren at brunch the Midday shotgun start commenced.

After a fantastic afternoon out the final results were well contested with Kieran Muir and Josh Geary sharing the honours with a brilliant 6 under 66 and Dongwoo Kang following on the heels finishing with 68. Both Jordan Loof and Daniel Pearce were close behind sharing 4th on rounds of 69.

Special thanks to Guthrie Bowron and event partners whose help is greatly appreciated and without which the event would not be possible.

A big congratulations to Brett Allan and his team for tireless work on delivering a fantastic tournament. Looking forward to the next one.
